What to expect from our review
In this first look, we explore what sets the Smart GO apart from other motorcycle airbag vests, how it works, what protection it offers and whether it is the right choice for everyday riding.
About the Dainese Smart GO
Weighing just 780 grams, the Smart GO is remarkably lightweight. The airbag vest offers certified Level 2 protection for the chest and back and can be worn either over or under your motorcycle clothing. Thanks to its adjustable fit, the system is suitable for different body types.
The Smart GO has no built-in battery. Instead, the system is powered by a compatible smartphone or the dedicated Smart GO power bank, which provides up to 72 hours of use. The airbag works without a physical connection to the motorcycle and uses D-air technology to detect potential accidents.
Another interesting feature is that you can replace the gas generator yourself after deployment. The system supports up to three deployments and does not require a subscription.
