What is the best back protector for me: CE level 1 or CE level 2?
CE level 1 and CE level 2 back protectors offer different levels of protection for motorcyclists. CE level 1 back protectors are designed to let through up to 18 kN (kilonewton) of impact energy, which is suitable for basic protection in the event of a light impact. This makes them more flexible and lighter, making them more comfortable to wear.
CE level 2 back protectors offer a higher level of protection and only let through up to 9 kN of impact energy. This makes them heavier and slightly less flexible, but they offer better protection in the event of heavier impacts. For extra safety, many motorcyclists opt for CE level 2, especially for intensive or risky riding.
