Properties
Meet the Arai RX-7V EVO, a helmet that comes from decades of experience and research at the highest level of motorsport. Crafted with craftsmanship by hand in Japan, it is Arai's state-of-the-art helmet in terms of protection, ventilation, comfort and fit, with an absolute priority on protection.
The RX-7V FIM Racing #2 is the world's first helmet homologated to the FIM FRHPhe-02 standard, and the go-to helmet in races subject to FIM sanctions. While the new FIM FRHPhe-02 will become mandatory from 2026, our decades-long priority for protection has ensured that our flagship model is already homologated to both FIM FRHPhe-02 and ECE R22-06 standards.
Relative to the previously mentioned standards, the FRHPhe-02 standard has undergone an improved and more complete performance evaluation, in addition to its previous certification as compliant with an international standard (with impacts randomly in 9 to 13 of the 22 predetermined locations distributed over the surface of the helmet). This includes new threshold requirements and new impact and testing methods, such as new oblique anvil impact tests, hemispherical anvil impact tests (to measure rotational forces on impacts), a quick-removal cheek pad test, and the introduction of a Skull Fracture Criterion (SFC) .
Head protection means managing impact energy. Many understand this as absorbing energy, but that is only part of it. The less impact energy enters the helmet, the less has to be absorbed. Arai achieves this by creating rounder, smoother and stronger outer shells to improve 'Glancing Off' performance and reduce the transfer of impact energy to the helmet.
Made from Arai's PB-SNC2 shell for ultimate strength and integrity, the RX-7V FIM Racing #2 features MotoGP-spec ventilation and aerodynamics. The fit is fully customizable. Available in plain white – and in Arai's full size range – the RX-7V FIM Racing #2 comes with a VAS-V Clear 3D visor as standard. The DF-X2 clear spoiler is also included in the box.
