Shoei Neotec 2 outer shell

The handmade outer shell is made from Shoei's very safe and aerodynamic Advanced Integrated Matrix. This is a combination of lightweight yet extremely strong fiberglass. The outer shell comes in three different sizes, ensuring that a small size does not use the same size outer shell as an extra-large size (thus requiring less filling material). The EPS inner shell has dual density to slow down movement during an impact.

Neotec 2 comfort

The fully removable and washable interior lining of the helmet is very comfortable, 3D pre-shaped, and available in different sizes (cheek pads and center pads). This way, the lining can always be optimized to the shape of your head. The leather finish ensures a very chic appearance.

Shoei Neotec 2 ventilation and aerodynamics

The ventilation has undergone a complete overhaul. For instance, we see a totally new type of inlet on the chin guard that we have never seen before. This wide shaft lets in a lot of air and is easy to operate with a button inside. There are also broad air inlets on the forehead and back of the head that ensure comfortable air ventilation and the removal of warm air without compromising the aerodynamic shape of the helmet. Two spoilers on the helmet enhance this aerodynamics.

As there are no seams to be found in the helmet and because the bottom of the helmet is made very compact, the helmet is very windproof. Additionally, the chin flap (made of leather) is made extra long. The visor band is extra wide and connects directly to the chin flap, almost completely closing off the helmet at the bottom.

Shoei Neotec 2 communication system

In collaboration with Sena, a special communication system was developed for the Shoei Neotec 2. A very small module can be clicked onto the side, which has no effect on the wearing comfort of the helmet. Space is reserved at the back for the battery. The microphone and speakers still need to be installed.

The renewed visor of the Neotec 2

The Shoei patented CNS-3 visor is another gem of the new Neotec. Very large, crystal clear, and of extraordinary quality. By opening the helmet, the chin guard comes forward a bit, which actually happens when you lock the chin guard in the upper position. This makes the visor kind of seal itself and therefore fully integrates into the helmet. The anti-fog PINLOCK® EVO lens is included as standard, and the helmet is equipped with an integrated sun visor. The nice thing about this sun visor is that it slides over the outer shell, resulting in a helmet where the sun visor does not detract from the outer shell.

Finally, we can say that the helmet has a P/J certification, so it can be worn in both positions. The closing mechanism is a quick-release made of stainless steel, which is strong enough to withstand very large forces. Are you looking for a more affordable, comparable helmet?
