How tight should a helmet fit?
It’s important that a newly purchased helmet fits tightly and securely around the head. The inner lining and protective foam layers take over the shape of your head over time. To make sure that you have not bought the helmet too small, it is advisable to keep the helmet on at home for a while. If after a while you feel an unpleasant pressure at the front or back of your head, it is probably too small, or it does not fit your head properly. These pressure points get worse the longer you wear the helmet and eventually even cause headaches.
