Alpinestars A-Connect Intercom System

The Alpinestars A-Connect is the communication system developed specifically for the S-R7. The unit sits in the space provided inside the helmet, so nothing hangs on the outside and the helmet keeps its aerodynamics.

Communication runs on Mesh 3.0: a network that rebuilds itself the moment someone drops out and always routes through the strongest connection. It reaches around 2 kilometres and supports a virtually unlimited number of riders, in an open or a private group. When the group spreads out, the system switches to WAVE by itself, which uses the cellular network and keeps you connected over hundreds of kilometres. Bluetooth 5.3 adds pairing with intercoms of other brands, your phone and your navigation.

Sound comes from 40 mm second-generation Harman Kardon speakers. AI-powered noise cancellation strips road, wind and engine noise out of the conversation, even at higher speeds, while the wired microphone keeps your voice natural. You operate it with four keys or with your voice, so your hands stay on the bars.

Then there are the practical details you notice on the road: up to 20 hours of talk time, a full charge in 2.5 hours over USB-C, an automatic stand-by mode, IPX5 water resistance once mounted and wireless firmware updates through the Sena apps.
