The Alpinestars S-R7 is a lightweight full-face helmet engineered to perform on the track as well as on the road. It combines advanced aerodynamics, an extensive ventilation system and cutting-edge composite materials with Alpinestars' patented PLASMA technology.

The outer shell uses a multi-composite combination featuring a carbon outer layer, an aramid fibre layer and a fibreglass layer, bonded together through an advanced pre-preg epoxy resin process. The result is a shell that is lightweight yet ultra-protective. The fibreglass outer layer dissipates energy efficiently across the shell, while the uni-directional carbon composite layer provides significantly greater radial strength, preventing compression while allowing controlled deflection to reduce transmitted impact energy.

The streamlined shell profile is free of any external channels or features that might act as a load point in an impact. A recess at the collarbone area prevents the shell from coming into contact with the body during a slide, significantly reducing the risk of collarbone injuries.

The inner shell is made from multi-density EPS material: seven separate pieces in six different densities, each strategically positioned for maximum impact energy dissipation. Two PLASMA sections are integrated into the collarbone cutaways for high-performance shock absorption in a critical area. Like the outer shell, the EPS liner has its own unique dimension for each helmet size.

Rotational impact protection is delivered by the combination of the internal shape and specific coating of the EPS liner, coupled with a specially developed surface in the comfort liner. This patented technology reduces rotational acceleration transmitted to the rider's head.

The S-R7 is equipped with ten ventilation ports: six intakes, three in the chinguard and three on the top of the head regulated by a slideable vent mechanism, plus four exhaust ports. The entire top vent section slides open to reveal three air channels for maximum cooling performance, and two extractor vents are integrated inside the rear spoiler for effective hot air extraction.

The homologated optical Class 1 shield features a double-sided anti-scratch treatment and varies in thickness from 1.6mm at the sides to 2.6mm in the centre. It is supplied with pins for a Pinlock 120XLT 100% Max Vision lens and can be changed without tools thanks to the quick-release system. A premium polymer locking lever prevents unwanted shield detachment during an impact.

The patented A-Head fitment system allows both the height and the angle at which the helmet sits on the head to be tuned to the rider's preference. The S-R7 is also engineered for seamless integration with A-Connect, Alpinestars' communication system with second generation 40mm Harman Kardon speakers and AI-based noise cancelling, including a built-in charging point at the rear of the neck section.
