The Arai SZ R Vas is the successor to the SZ Ram X, and it has received a fresh upgrade indeed. The Arai SZ R Vas is Arai’s newest open face helmet from the premium segment of motorcycle helmets. It has been handcrafted with the utmost care. An enormous amount of comfort and protection has been combined within the shell of this motorcycle helmet.
The exact build-up of the different layers of the fibreglass outer shell and the shock-resistant EPS inner shell results in Arai’s PB-CLC2 system (Peripherally Belted Complex Laminate Construction) – in English that means the shell is rock hard, but flexible and lightweight at the same time. The build-up of the EPS inner shell varies per area within the helmet to offer maximum protection and minimum weight. The outer shell of the helmet comes in a separate shell size per two helmet sizes, this ensures that you always have a compact helmet around your noggin’.
The inner lining of the helmet is made of a comfortable and antibacterial material, it is fully removable and washable. The helmet is prepared for wearers of glasses and for a communication system. Multiple intakes and outtakes ensure that the helmet has sufficient ventilation.
The helmet has been equipped with a long and wide clear anti-scratch visor, if required – a Pro Shade System sun visor can be attached to the helmet to help protect you from the sun.
The retention system is double-D system, the helmet is of course ECE approved.
