Schuberth C4 Pro Motorcycle helmet

One of the quietest modular helmets in the world is back! The Schuberth C4 Pro is the successor to the original C4 motorcycle helmet. The C4 Pro has improved on a number of things. Apart from the new colours, the exterior has not changed that much – all of the improvements can be found beyond the helmets’ outer shell.

One of the most important things for many riders is that the fit of the helmet has been altered to resemble the round shape of the C3 Pro – this means that the helmet will now probably fit the loyal Schuberth riders better than the original C4. This predecessor had a slightly more oval shape.

Schuberth C4 Pro specifications

The German helmet manufacturer claims to have improved the soundproofing and aerodynamics, which now make the helmet more suitable for naked bikes.

The outer shell consists of a fibreglass matrix, which provides you with a light and well protecting helmet. Partly due to this renewed outer shell the weight is around 1500 grams, which is very pleasant on longer rides – especially in combination with the improved air resistance.

Schuberth has listened to the feedback from her customers while designing the C4 Pro. The chin ventilation of the C4 Pro has a new mechanism, which feels much more solid and durable. The inner lining of the C4 Pro is now made of a velvet material, this makes the lining much more comfortable than the original lining. The microphone has been moved from the top of the helmet to the side, in the shape of a boom microphone. This should improve sound quality and decrease wind noise.

Renewed communication system Schuberth SC2

The communication system for the C4 Pro has also been improved, the C4 Pro is now prepared for the SENA SC2 system. The ideal thing about the new SC2 system is that you simply slide the battery and main console into the two slots on the underside of the helmet. The speakers and microphone are both already seamlessly integrated into the helmet. Installing the communication system does not alter the inner shape of the helmet, and it’s basically plug & play!

The SC2 system is available in a standard and advanced version. The largest difference between both systems is the reach of the intercom, FM radio and the battery life. The Schuberth C4 Pro also supports the SENA SC1 communication system.

Condensation was a big issue with the original C4 helmet, so luckily they have chosen to fight the fogging up of the visor by working together with Pinlock®! All C4 helmets now come with an original Pinlock® anti-fog lens.

The C4 is also available in the Basic and Pro Carbon versions. The C4 Basic is not prepared for a communication system, and the C4 Pro Carbon has a Carbon outer shell.
