Schuberth C5: The successor to the C4 Pro

The outer shell of the helmet is made according to the advanced Direct Fibre Processing principle and comes in two different shell sizes – that's nothing new. But what is new is that the fiberglass outer shell is now reinforced for the first time with an extra carbon layer. This enhances the strength of the outer shell but also helps keep the weight down. The weight is approximately 1640 grams in the smallest shell size, which is excellent for this type of helmet.

You will hear us say it more often in the near future, but the arrival of the ECE 22.06 approval is one of the most important new innovations in the helmet world. Motorcycle helmets are subjected to higher requirements with this approval, which the helmets must at least meet. For instance, helmets are now also tested for impact with a rotational motion and for accessories like a sun visor or an integrated communication system. This benefits the quality and safety of all new helmets, and as you might guess: the Schuberth C5 has passed the new ECE 22.06 certification with flying colors. This new top helmet also features the P/J homologation, which allows you to ride on public roads with the chin piece up.

The helmet has an improved aerodynamic shell and, in terms of design, truly returns to the core of the highly successful C3. Compared to the C4, the helmet has also become more compact, which is very pleasant for wearing comfort. The large outer visor is prepared for a Max Vision Pinlock 120 anti-fog lens, which is, of course, included with the helmet. The visor also features the new Memory Function system, which keeps the visor in the same position when the chin bar is flipped up and then back down.

The new C5 is prepared for the SC2 Bluetooth communication system from Schuberth. This system is based on the 50S from SENA, which means this helmet has the MESH 2.0 system. This allows you to connect with up to 24 riders in a group mesh intercom conversation – and in an open mesh intercom conversation, the number of riders is even unlimited!
