The Kriega Adapter OS-Base Ducati DesertX is a specially designed mounting solution that fits seamlessly to the Ducati DesertX, with a bespoke shape and specific mounting hardware. This ‘over the seat harness’ system allows the mounting of OS-6, OS-12, or OS-18 bags without the need for a metal frame. This provides a lightweight yet highly rigid carrying solution without the need for any modifications to the bike itself.
The adapter offers flexibility in storage capacity; you can mount one, two or three bags depending on your needs. The fixed straps ensure quick and easy installation, while the bespoke shape ensures a tight and secure fit with sufficient clearance from the exhaust. For added stability when carrying heavy loads or during intensive off-road use, the new X-Straps are included, which can be installed in less than a minute and quickly removed.
The adapter is a model-specific mounting adapter that is easy to use, without the need for any modifications to the bike. It accommodates two OS-6, OS-12, or OS-18 bags on the sides, with the option of adding one additional bag on the top, allowing the carrying capacity to vary from 12 to 54 liters. The heavy-duty Hypalon construction, extra reinforced stitching, and T6 aircraft-grade aluminum hook mounts make this adapter extremely robust and reliable. The total weight of the adapter, excluding bags, is 1150 grams.
