Shoei J-Cruise Corso TC5

We recently heard someone say that the Shoei J-Cruise might be the most natural premium tour jet helmet on the market. What can be so natural about a helmet? Honestly, at the introduction of the helmet, there wasn’t much attention being spent on the marketing of the helmet. Despite this, the sales were instantly very good. When a product sells well without much ado, we know we’re holding something good in our hands.

What’s so good about it? You would choose the Shoei J-Cruise if you want the ease and the sight of a jet helmet, but you don’t want to sacrifice any safety or the perks of a full face helmet. The long outer shell and the 3D ‘wrap around the head’ inner lining give you the idea that your head is maximally enclosed by the helmet.

The visor also adds to the secure feeling. Due to the fact that the visor is poured, it has a lot more shape than a regular visor. The curved edge at the bottom is very nifty too. Riding wind is directed past the sides of the helmets, so it doesn’t roll behind the visor. Many bikers ride with this helmet all year round, partly due to the points stated above.

Last but not least: some attention for the sun visor. A lot of helmets have a piece of inner shell sacrificed to house the sun visor. This doesn’t fit in Shoei’s safety policy. That’s why this helmet has an expansion on the front (made from a special fibre material) which houses the sun visor. And no, before you ask, this doesn’t look strange or bulky – it actually gives the helmet a more sporty look. The sun visor is made in a way that it holds the same qualities as a pair of sunglasses.

So yes, this helmet is very natural to us. Look up the reviews online to find out for yourself.
