The TCX X-Five.4 Gore-Tex® boot is a true touring boot made from full-grain leather. This is the outermost layer of leather, making it the strongest and best leather. It is a natural material that offers a lot of comfort and protection against weather conditions, while also being robust and abrasion-resistant. Real traditional craftsmanship is required to obtain this full-grain leather, which allows the leather to deliver top performance. Combined with the latest Gore-Tex® waterproof treatment, the TCX X-Five.4 Gore-Tex® boot is a great boot that protects against all weather conditions and provides you with all the necessary comfort.
The special microporous structure of the GORE-TEX® fabric contains about 1.4 billion microscopic pores per square centimeter. These pores are about 20,000 times smaller than a droplet of water, yet 700 times larger than a molecule of water vapor. So while water cannot penetrate the GORE-TEX® membrane in liquid form, sweat (water vapor) can easily evaporate. This results in a completely waterproof barrier.
