Mandatory helmet for mopeds nationwide from January 1, 2023

As of January 1, 2023, it is mandatory throughout the Netherlands to wear a helmet on the moped. The reason for this is that there are still many victims in traffic among moped riders. Many people chose a vehicle with a blue license plate because you did not have to wear a helmet, and for this reason, the government has decided that a Speed Pedelec helmet is also allowed to be used on the moped. This Vito helmet with NTA 8776 certification is therefore also suitable for use on all mopeds and scooters with a blue license plate.
