De Vito Special is a very stylish jet helmet with beautiful retro looks, perfect for riding your scooter or moped in and around the city. This helmet is made of polycarbonate and is produced in one shell size. This VITO Special helmet features an integrated sun visor that protects you from the sun. The cheek pads are removable and washable, allowing you to keep the helmet fresh and clean at all times. There is also a safe quick release on this helmet, which allows you to fasten the chin strap in an instant.

Sizing, good fit, and soft inner lining

We can say that the Vito Special helmet fits well to size. The fit of this scooter helmet can be described as “round”. To further complement the fit, the Vito Special has a fine, soft inner lining with a light brown color. The inner lining is easy to clean with a damp cloth.

Does the Vito Special fit in my storage compartment?

A major advantage of this helmet is that it has a fairly small helmet shell, allowing it to easily fit under the seat of most scooters. This space is often referred to as a “buddyseat”.

National helmet requirement from January 1, 2023

According to the Dutch government, there are annually many casualties among scooter riders in traffic. Therefore, in the Netherlands, it is mandatory to wear an approved helmet on motorized and non-motorized scooters. The Vito Special naturally meets the ECE approval requirement and is therefore deemed safe for use on these vehicles. The helmet is even approved for potential use on motorcycles. However, given the higher speeds involved, we always recommend a motorcycle helmet for motorcycles.
