Schuberth SC1 Advanced (Schuberth C4 / C4 PRO/R2) description
Recently Schuberth presented its new line of models, including the C4 and R2. The German manufacturer has designed two completely new communication systems for these helmets: Schuberth SC1 Standard and Schuberth SC1 Advanced. Installing a communication system has never been this easy! The helmets are already equipped with hidden speakers and microphones. Simply slide the main unit and the battery into their slots on the underside of the helmet and you’re ready to go. Neatly hidden and no more messing around with wires and things.
Another new feature of this system is that it has been developed in cooperation with Sena, who offer the underlying technology. If you ask us, Sena is pretty much the market leader when it comes to communication systems.
The SC1 communication system allows you to communicate with your passenger and/or other motorcyclists, receive GPS instructions, listen to music and make telephone calls. The technology consists of the newest Bluetooth technology available.
Standard vs Advanced: there are two versions of the Schuberth SC1 system, the Standard version and the Advanced version. Like the name suggests, the Advanced version has a few advantages over the Standard version. In short: the Advanced has longer talk-time (16 hours instead of 9), a larger reach (1600m instead of 1000m), the possibility to share music and an FM radio.
A nice touch is that the SC1 is quite a bit cheaper than its predecessor.
